Producers in Margaux, France

Description of Margaux:

The largest and most famous of the Medoc appellations, Margaux represents Bordeaux at its most feminine. While the northerly communes of Pauillac, Saint-Julien and Saint Estèphe are classic and conservative, Margaux is their elegant, forward-thinking counterpart, full of finesse and vigor. The commune’s wines characteristically exhibit finer perfumes, more restrained tannins, elegance and poise.

The region is home to its eponymous premier cru of Château Margaux, and no fewer than eight classified growths (the commune boasts vineyards in all five classifications). In recent years an increasing number of Margaux properties have produced remarkable wines full of complexity and intricate flavors.
