Bordering Spain’s Catalonia, Roussillon in southern France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the foothills of the Pyrenees. Its1800 vast hectares of "terroir" produce nearly 40% of French wine production. Roussillon wines are products of hard labor due to the steep slopes on which the vines grow.
