Sauvignon Blanc
Aromas and flavors of gooseberry and melon permeate this fresh, brisk white. Firmly structured and focused, it tails off on the finish, but will make a tasty aperitif or partner to oysters and shellfish.id 165

Aloxe-Corton
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“This too is mildly reduced with very ripe earthy violet and black fruit-infused aromas that complement the rich, sweet and beautifully detailed full-bodied flavors that are complex, powerful and tightly knit on the impressively long finish. Like the Clos des Langres, this delivers simply outstanding quality for what it is. Also recommended.” A. Meadows 89-91 ptsid 278

"Les Chaillots"
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“This is reserved to the point of being inexpressive at present, revealing only glimpses of red pinot fruit with hints of underbrush though the flavors are anything but shy as there is excellent power, richness and a firm minerality present on the energetic, complex and beautifully pure finish. A lovely wine with muscle.” Allen Meadows 89-91 ptsid 26

Domaine d’Ardhuy
Beaune 1er Cru
"Les Champs Pimont"
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
Brilliantly ruby red with hints of blue, "Les Champs Pimont" is imbued with a fragrance of cherry, strawberry, and a touch of mocha. In the mouth, it shows strawberry in its youth and jammy plum when it has developed with age. Always an elegant, balanced and charming wine with good structure and supple tannins.id 377

Domaine d’Ardhuy
Beaune 1er Cru
"Les Champs Pimont"
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“Here there is a different aromatic profile that is distinctly fruity but not simple or vulgar, running mostly to red berries, particularly raspberry and cherry that introduce delicious, generous and fleshy flavors supported by a firm spine of ripe tannins. This is very Beaune in style with good punch.” Allen Meadows 89 ptsid 184

Domaine d’Ardhuy
Bourgogne
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“A relatively high-toned red berry fruit nose with moderately earthy middle weight lavors that are round, sweet and nicely detailed and while there is a trace of finishing rusticity, it’s mild. While this is not a wine of finesse, there is good character and this is a better than average example of the genre crafted in a forward style.” Allen Meadowsid 28

Bourgogne Blanc
Burgundy
The grapes were sourced from grapevines located in the south of Burgundy near Puligny and Meursault. 1/3 of the wine stayed in contact with its lees for 11 months, while the other 2/3 were fermented and aged in stainless steel. The two parts were then blended together, filtered, and bottled.id 376

Clos de Vougeot
Grand Cru
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
"This is again a beautiful wine...a floral and relatively expressive nose for a young Clos de Vougeot of earthy dark berry fruit aromas merges into powerful yet precise flavors that deliver a real sense of volume and drive on the long and superbly complex finish..." Allen Meadows: 91-94 ptsid 379

Corton Charlemagne
Grand Cru
Burgundy
"A strikingly elegant and high-toned nose of green apple, white flower, and hints of lemon rind merge into intensely stony and pure full-bodied flavors that deliver excellent punch and length on the explosive finish. This is still a bit awkward but this indisputably possesses the best material in the range." Allen Meadowsid 174

Corton Clos du Roi
Grand Cru

A gentle touch of wood spice frames the ripe, serious and brooding earthy and intensely animale dark berry fruit aromas that introduce the rich, powerful and palate drenching flavors that are textured, well-muscled and focused on the explosive finish. This is like a vinous bomb detonating on the palate and it’s hugely long.id 181

Corton Hautes Mourottes

“The rich, full and nicely detailed flavors are quite firmly structured with a linear, indeed almost aggressively compact structure that is not necessarily powerful but rather focused and intense, driven more by an intense minerality than raw muscle.” Allen Meadows 89-92 ptsid 180

Côte de Beaune Village

This is prettier aromatically with a similar mix of red berries and earth but with sauvage hints on the otherwise lively middle weight flavors that pack plenty of finishing punch. I like the subtle minerality and freshness.id 176

Côte de Nuits Villages
“Clos des Langres”

Burgundy

“A touch of reduction detracts mildly from the ripe, earth and serious dark fruit aromas and the intense earthiness continues onto the very rich and full-bodied flavors that possess a velvety mouth feel though the finish is distinctly firm. The depth here is unusually good and this is a flat out superb effort for what it is.” Allen Meadows 88-90 ptsid 29

Gevrey Chambertin
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“As one would expect, this is completely different with much more deeply pitched aromas that are pretty and not at all rustic that lead to earthy, sweet, intense and relatively powerful medium full-bodied flavors underpinned by solid structure and notably good depth. This offers excellent quality for its level.” Allen Meadows 89 ptsid 179

Pernand Vergelesses
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“This too is quite attractive aromatically with a lovely and ripe mix of red and blue fruit nuanced by violet aromas that continue onto the vibrant, fresh and racy mineral-infused flavors that offer good energy on the dusty and firm finish. This is delicious and the natural coolness of Pernand comes through yet stops short of austerity.” Allen Meadowsid 228

Pommard 1er Cru
"Les Lambots"
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“An earthy and moderately rustic nose of dark berries, black raspberries and underbrush hints combines with rich, powerful and serious flavors that possess real size and weight. This is a very solidly structured effort and it’s rare to see villages wines, even from Gevrey that carry this kind of power.” Allen Meadows 89 ptsid 185

Pommard 1er Cru
"Les Fremiers"
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“A much higher-toned and decidedly more elegant nose featuring dark berry fruit and blue/violet notes gives way to detailed, punchy and cool medium full flavors built on a base of firm minerality that culminate in a driving, pure and linear finish of imposing persistence. This does not have the sheer size and muscle of the Lambots though it’s by no means a shrinking violet either. I’m impressed but it’s not for those in a rush.” Allen Meadows 91 ptsid 186

Puligny-Montrachet
"Le Trezin"
Burgundy
“A deft touch of pain grillé amiably works with the elegant, pure and airy white flower and green fruit aromas that reflect the slightly cool character that the extreme altitude confers on this wine and this coolness continues onto the rich, full and textured flavors supported by obvious minerality on the bright, driving and citrusy finish. A lovely villages and this too is well worth a look.” Allen Meadows 89 ptsid 172

“There is a bit more wood in evidence that reveals hints of oak spice and vanilla notes that mingle with the airy white flower and lemon-infused aromas that also lead to rich, full and detailed flavors that possess excellent cut and vibrancy on the intense and penetrating finish. While this will undoubtedly age as it's well balanced.” A. Meadows: 91 ptsid 227

Savigny 1er Cru
"Peuillets"
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“As it often is, this is the most elegant of this Savigny group with high-toned and pure red pinot fruit aromas that exude a fine sense of underlying minerality that continues onto the detailed, sweet and beautifully balanced and harmonious middle weight flavors that possess real finishing verve. Terrific Peuillets that could actually be approached now as the structure is seamlessly integrated.” A. Meadows: 91 ptsid 230

Savigny 1er Cru
"Rouvrettes"
Burgundy
Pinot Noir
“This is noticeably finer with airier fruit that combines both red and blue berry aromas that are also nuanced by floral hints, particularly violets. The supple, forward and nicely refined flavors display a seductive mouth feel that tightens up fast on the linear and slightly austere finish. This will require a few years of cellar time to really sort itself out but the quality of the underlying material is indisputable.” Allen Meadowsid 231
